Who says there aren't comic moments in the Bible?


This passage reminds me of a scene from some old, old sit com like the Honeymooners or something. Can't you just imagine the comical levels of frustration the Pharisees must have been expressing as they were continuosly stymied by the innocent, simple, honest and life-giving responses of the blind man. Certainly it points to their hard-heartedness which would eventually send Jesus to the cross, but I can't help but think this was a moment of Jesus poking a bit of fun for the sake of his Kingdom.
