Living with Wisdom
I recently read this verse and it lept off the page at me. I can see how many would read this with the perspective of knowing we are just passing through. I certainly read it the same way. But it struck me differently in my life. Sometimes i know i do things that are unwise thinking that i can make up for it tomorrow. That i somehow have time to get back on track. This verse says to me that if i number my days first, i will look at each situation from a perspective of wisdom. Wisdom comes as we number our days. I do not want to do foolish things with the thinking that i can somehow rebound. Knowing i have only a short amount of time will cause me to live wisely.
