I can't imagine being a Jew and hearing Jesus say this. He has outted himself as the Messiah and basically has thrown down the gauntlet. I can just see everyone in the room with jaws dropped and stunned one moment and clamoring with gossippy discussion the next - "Did he just say what I think he said?!" I love having these moments captured for us.
