The Power of Vision, Faith and God's Word

"To grasp and hold a vision, that is the very essence of successful leadership."
- Ronald Reagan

"Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he." (Proverbs 29:18 AMP)

People have got to be able to see correctly and leaders have to be able to see better than the people they're leading! The Truth is what we have to see which is best defined as an "accurate perception of reality." However we are told there's something even more important in our walk, and that is FAITH!
"for we walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)

Finally, there's a link between these three throughout Scripture, such as: "The very essence of Your Word is truth; all Your just regulations will stand forever." (Psalm 119:160 NLT) and "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105 NASB)

So I conclude that I, as a leader (of my family in particular), must be able to see the truth by the Word of God by faith as He lights my path, in order to have a vision so that those who follow me (my wife and kids) will not die.
