Perfection?
The idea that God would ask of us something which is not possible goes against the Word and character of God. We must understand that perfection and therefore, the true Christian life, is not possible in human strength. So why do we always try to accomplish it in our own strength? The presence of failure is a sure sign that we are not drawing on the Spirit and power within us. It's all about love. When we ponder perfection we must take into account what the Word of God says in Colossions 3:14; "Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." Love is the bond of perfection and God is Love. When I read Matt. 5:48 in light of what it says in Col. 3:14, it made so much more sense! God help us to love You more and to love You better!
