marching orders
It occurs to me that the plan then and now is for each extended family to stay near the tabernacle (church) and the Lord and to do exactly as instructed by God. Sometimes that means that a family patriarch will have to insist that the family name and the name of the Lord be protected. It may mean that even in ones own family he will have to be unpopular. There had to have been times when an adult child wanted to do things differently. Wanted to ignore the tabernacle or worship other gods or camp somewhere else. But the instructions were clear. "march under your banner as the Lord directs you". Can we do any less?
In a time of eroded family structure and individualized worship and lifestyles may we provide a beacon of love and acceptance as well as direction, hope, and direction to our children regardless of their ages
