He Stood and Waited

It is interesting to note Abraham served these men, then took the position of a waiter. He stood nearby and waited for them. This waiting likely involved observing them to be sure they had enough food, and to be ready to provide them with anything they needed.
We have much to learn from Abraham. This is the same man who took his 318 strong men and rescued Lot. He was old, at least somewhat powerful, and probably accustomed to being waited in himself, yet here he is serving as a waiter.
We would do well to emulate him. Do what God wants; wait on Him. He will indicate what is needed next.
