Run Baby Run

I often think about how the bad choices I sometimes make effect God's will for my life. If I do something wrong will He still want to use me in the same way He always meant to or did I screw it all up? Jonah found himself in the same predicament. He deliberately went the other direction God wanted him to go, running from the presence of God (Jonah 1:3). His "oops" landed him in the belly of a fish where he repented and was vomited out on the seashore where God called him a second time. That time Jonah obeyed. What I find so awesome is not only did God use Jonah the way he originally wanted to despite Jonah's initial unwillingness, but God uses the whole 3 days and nights in the belly of a fish as the only sign given to the scribes and Pharisees from Jesus (Matt. 12:40), haha! I'm left thinking, well what sign would he have given if Jonah never ran from God? God is so good and causes all things to work together for good (Romans 8:28) in such a way that it is as if things were meant to be like that from the beginning.
