it's too dark
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 NLT
Every person who has ever lived wants to find his or her way in this world. We are all searching for meaning and purpose and for what is next. Nobody can see in the dark so we all look for a light to follow because it shows us what is ahead. Jesus told those who were following Him that he was that light that they were looking for in life.
I need to remember that when I can’t see in front of me it may be because I am not looking to Jesus for His light and direction. He alone will show and guide me to living a life that not only pleases Him but is so much better than finding my way in the dark.
God, guide me today with the light of your son Jesus.
