The greatest mistakes happen because of impatience
Check the NLT for this verse - ..."the son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfilment of God's promise..." This is just the problem. There may be a promise of God for our lives, but we need to wait for God's time. Let us not try and "help" God to bring His promises. No, that is combining our strength with God's strength. Whereas following Jesus is about a removal of our strength and a putting on of God's strength.
