Blessed

In Genesis 1:27 God creates human beings. His first action toward them is found in verse 28: He "blessed them."

He blessed them before they could do anything to deserve it. He blessed them without beg or plea to do so. He blessed them before they could sing praises to Him, tithe, teach a Sunday school class, or clean the church bathrooms. He blessed them because that is what God does - He blesses those He has created.

Now, we see that Adam and Eve get out of God's favor due to sin and are cursed, but God still blesses them even in times of sorrow (Cain and Abel).

God blessed them... and he will bless me too!
