It is incredible to me that these insurrectionists described Egypt as a land of milk and honey. The very term God used for the promised land they used to describe the place of their bondage and slavery. How much we are tempted to look to the past and see it with rosy glasses while rejecting God's present for us. How sad. I pray that God would enable me (and us) to seek him for what He is doing in the present. God forbid that we should look to the sin and bondage of the past and somehow see it as better than God's leadership for this moment, no matter how hard it might be
