Suffering

Reading the book of Job has helped me understand more clearly - There are two reasons people suffer: because of their sin AND not because of their sin. God wants people who are pulling away from Him (sinning) to turn back, so He often does what works really well: makes sin and life with sin suck. Others God has a special purpose for suffering: to bring Him glory and to bring out the best in them...those are the ones that suffer (often physically) and still say, "I praise you God" and "I know God is glorified in this". Those are the ones who suffer and smile afterwards and say, "I wouldn't change anything."
