Best Test
The Best Test
Looking at your past week, have you offered your best to God? Your answer to this question is the answer to what I call the Best Test.
With brutal honesty, your answer will clearly reveal both your heart toward God and your devotion to Him.
I find that those of us who answer "no" to the Best Test are often:
- >Passive/Apathetic: not putting much effort, if any, into our relationship with God.
>Distracted: chasing the opposite sex, material possessions or positions. Overcome with worry or anxiety. Spending time on video games, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest, but not having time for God.
I speak so bluntly here, because these three have all described me at one time in my life. Even more frustrating, "Distracted" describes me even last night.
So, how do we go closer to God? Let's look at the attributes of those who positively answer the Best Test.
I find that those who answer "yes" to the Best Test are always:
>Seeking God daily in prayer and the Bible
>In fellowship with other believers, who encourage & lovingly correct them.
>Part of their local church
Resulting in them....
>Being full of more joy than can be described
>Finding ways to give even more than their personal best, through other people and other resources
The Best Test.
Are you giving God your best? Are you making the most of every opportunity? If you haven't been, I have great news: today is a beautiful new day. Give God the glory!
Praying for both of us to glorify God like crazy with our best, today!
P.S.: Look at all the details the Israelite people were to complete in their offerings. Don't be afraid of details and planning. Work excellently for our gracious King!
