The WAFKOSH command

"You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him."

* Walk After - partly in a practical sense (God was still leading by cloud and fire), but also reminiscent of "keep with step with the Spirit", Galatians 5. Note: walk, not run.
* Fear - attitude of the heart: does God have my complete, dead serious attention?
* Keep Commandments - God has spoken through his word. Am I listening, believing, and obeying?
* Obey Voice - Additionally (and secondarily), am I obeying his voice, e.g. his nudgings throughout the day, his rebukes through others, his leadings through circumstances?
* Serve - Is my life about him or about myself?
* Hold Fast - Am I persevering by clinging to God and his word?
