Often I hear this passage used within the church. It is cited for its cal for believers to be persistent, to keep after people or situations that justice is needed in. I have often found myself the one who utters it in reference to situations where I am encouraging others to remain persistent, and to persevere.

But what if God meant this passage to refer only to matters of our prayers directly to Him?
