Even Solomon doesn't know
wow! the wisest man who ever lived admits He hasnt figured out the way God moves and works. that's kind of relieving to me. I mean, why do spend so much time trying to figure out why God does the things he does when even Solomon says it's impossible. one good reason is found in the way he starts this chapter, talking about earthly rulers. he says that since kings have authority what good would it do to question their actions and motives. they're in charge. that's all you need to know apparently. then solomon moves into the realm fo understanding the Divine. maybe there is a link. God has all authority so what good would it do to say. "God, I dont know about that. where are your motives?" or "why God?" it reminds me of the answer my mom always "because I said so, that's why!" lol! I always hated that.
