Word of mouth VS Hand bills and TV
These people were different from us yes, but they had the same amount of time in a week that we had, and yet in their week they used it to tell everyone about the message they heard and explain to their friends and family and folk they didn't know why they needed to come to Church next week and they showed up it says that almost the whole city was in church, which means that the week before the whole city was doing other things. Two important points for me here:
1) People don't always think that Church is worth them showing up for never mind the people in their area. (But with a solid message and reason for them to show up JESUS they will show up and bring people)
2) The message or focus for the Sunday should be on what people need and then want, they need the Good News. (hand bills and TV ads are cool but the bottom line has to be the Gospel and how it's purpose was to change our lives)
