Excuses
Excuses, excuses, excuses... I wonder if Jesus ever gets tired of hearing our excuses. We read the story of the people making excuses about the banquet and wonder, "How could you!? Don't you understand you are turning down Jesus?" We think that way because we feel that we have reservations at that very banquet. But what if we are the guest and the servant? What if we are called to not only accept the invitation but to also invite others to the banquet? I can think of many excuses I have used to convince myself as to why I am not inviting people to join me at the banquet. What about you? What excuses are you using to not be a servant actively pursuing people for Jesus? Go quickly and invite, urge people to join you so that God's house will be full!
