At A Loss For Words
S- We don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
O- Groaning usually comes from and is associated with suffering. When in tears, we seldom know what to say.
A- The Father knows my heart. Spirit-filled believers should be filled with grief when they stumble, when they suffer, and when they see sin gain the upper hand. But, we are at a loss for words when these things overtake us. Believers absolutely need the Spirit to advocate for them. To not have the Spirit would cut us off us from God's presence. We choke on our own words. We are unable too speak articulately in the Lord's temple. The Spirit seeks to comfort us in harmony with God’s own will.
P- Lord, let me put aside my stubbornness and yield to your Holy presence in my life when I face adversity. I don't know what to say as I am a selfish man and I seek the wrong things if left unattended by the Spirit. You sent your Son and revealed, through the scriptures, our impoverished state. Yet we would be unable to draw near to you without the Spirit interceding for us.
