Why don't we listen
God's chosen people are having the truth told to them yet they do not listen. Why? Are we so rooted in tradition and what others have mapped out for our behavior we can not even hear the voice of the one who made us? Why do we deny the true course we are called to take? If we really listened to God we would realize we were designed to be truly GREAT! Yet we shrink from this calling and and cling to tradition instead of using it as an additive to our relationship with God it is a substitute. Once the apostles turned to a group (the gentiles) that have little "religious" tradition if any and told them the truth they understood and were filled with joy.
Oh Lord Help me to be more like the Gentiles!
