Don't Teach Like A Scribe

The first thing I noticed is that the people were all astounded by his authority. They were used to being taught by the scribes, whose teachings were largely based on the teachings of others. Their authority resided in their education.
Jesus' authority was different. He relied on nobody (see verse 27 -- 'A new teaching with authority!').
There is a difference between teaching with authority and authority teaching.
Authority teaching is taught out of intellect.
Teaching with authority is out of passion and heart.
Authority teaching is because it says so.
Teaching with authority is because it works.
Authority teaching is all about the information.
Teaching with authority is all about the transformation.
Authority teaching is about works.
Teaching with authority is about grace.
Authority teaching doesn't scare hell.
Teaching with authority scares hell and every demon.
Authority teaching is all about how much you know.
Teaching with authority is all about who you know.
