Singular, not plural
It is the fruit (singular) of the Spirit. Not the fruits (plural) of the Spirit.
You either have it or you don't. You don't have just a few. This is a consistent view of the character of God. To show the fruit of the Spirit, we must display the character of Christ. Christ is consistent. We must be consistent as well.
Thinking about the way gods are portrayed by the major religions, how could any have thief characteristics without relying in their CREATION. The God of the Bible has a character opposite that of His creation. We are to be like Him. He is not to be like us.
