Step Forward Boldly, or Shy Away?
The people faced a challenge - they had to cross the Jordan while it was at flood stage to get to their promised land. They didn’t shy away in fear, but stepped out in obedience to the Lord’s command. When they did, the waters parted.
Do we shy away from challenges that we encounter, rather than boldly stepping forward in obedience? In doing so, we miss an opportunity for the peoples of the earth to know that the hand of the Lord is powerful!
Lord, may I hear your voice leading me and then step out in obedience, no matter how overwhelming the situation might be.
