If he can do it, we can do it
I've always heard that you shouldn't question God, just do what he says when he says it. Right here is an instance where that proves to be false. God became angry and was going to destroy the Israelites, but Moses questions him about his intent to find understanding and/or a new course of action. Not only did Moses question God, but because of his questioning he changed God's mind about destroying them. So if Moses is allowed to question God's plan, and can bring good out of doing so, couldn't we also. I think that maybe we not only could, but we should at times.
