Rewarded Because of Rejection

When I talk to people about soulwinning, especially those who just started out performing the Great Commission, but most common excuse I hear is that people are afraid that they will be rejected - afraid of someone laughing at them, slamming the door on their face, etc. I can understand this mindset, because I went through that phase for years. But let's look at this reference carefully. Now, there are three things that can happen when we knock on a door: the person gets saved, a seed is planted, or the person rejects what we have to say. Let's look at all three of them. The first one I would say is a win situation. The second - planted seed - would be considered a win situation as well; he may have not accepted Jesus but he was open and can be considered a prospect for a bus route, the church, or he can be lead to Christ the next time around. But what about the third? Would being rejected be a win situation for us? Most people would say no. However, according to Luke 6:22, Jesus calls us blessed if we are hated, separated, reproached, and cast out of their presence. Luke 6:23 tells us to leap for joy because our reward is great in Heaven. If we get rejected in the name of Jesus, He promises us a reward in Heaven! Imagine all the rewards we will get for every rejection! Of course, we shouldn't look forward to it, but we should not be discouraged; rather, let us leap for joy. We will be rewarded because of rejection.
