Last Breath

46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.Luke 23:46

When Jesus breathed His last, new life was breathed into this world. With such a simple statement the profound moment of people’s redemption took place.

16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.John 3:16-18

Jesus died a death He didn’t deserve so I could have a righteousness from God that I don’t deserve. Nothing in the Kingdom of Heaven I deserve. It’s all a demonstration of the love and grace of God.

What amazing love you have for us, God. Only you could have accomplished what you’ve given us in Jesus. I worship You today.
