How's Your Power

Now this is what I would call a qualifying exam.

As we grow in the Lord there will come a time when we will want to share our knowledge and understand with our fellow friends and family the body of Christ. Some will even become ordained and began to exercise this calling by preaching and teaching. This is a good thing.

But Paul points out an important step or an accompanying characteristic to good teaching and preaching. POWER

This is the missing element in our pulpits today. -POWER- We have powerful messages, we have intellectually stimulating ones , and we have our Fire and brimstone messages but Where is the POWER that should accompany the words?

What power?, you ask. This is a good question. What Power?

The answer lies in answering these questions. Who else in the Bible preached with words and power? Who said you will do the same things and greater? Who said "go into all the World preaching the gospel.... Lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, cast out demons, and raise the dead" -Jesus

I believe that if we want to show the world that Christianity isn't just another religion we must add to our books, our messages, our sermons, and our missions. POWER!

Why don't we start by imitating Jesus (in word AND deed) and go from there? :)
