I Have Enough

Brothers who once fought now are joined back together. Brothers who never got along now for the first time are cordial.

The difference between this meeting and the last is covetousness.

In the beginning, the two constantly fought because they wanted more. They wanted what was each others'. They were not content with what God had given each of them.

Now, as they meet years later, they try to give each other goods, and neither will take it. They both reply "I have enough."

Much contention will cease once we stop trying to "get what's ours." When we stop coming to the father and saying "give me" (Luke 15:12) but instead start saying "make me" (a servant, Luke 15:19). When we stop looking at what other people have and desiring it for ourselves. When we look at our possessions... Jesus Christ, salvation, heaven... and say "I have enough."
