Let no one look down upon you.
we often associate being young with having a lack of experience. One of the things that holds us back is feeling incapable of accomplishing a task. Paul quickly and strongly addresses this situation - Let no one look down upon you, just because you don't have enough experience. It is usually those without experience that make the most positive changes in any given task.
There are 3 things that blessed my life from Paul's advice to Timothy
1st. Change the way you see yourself. - You must know who you are in Christ - there fore allow no one to call you any different than that which you are through Christ.
2nd. Be of example - Even if you lack the experience when you have the attitude of doing it, you become an example of courage.
3rd. Live for God - Don't worry about what others say about you. You work on knowing the word, on your conduct, on love, attitude, faith and purity. Build yourself to be that who Christ called you to be.
Paul is encouraging all of us who feel like if the task is to great, take courage and give it a try God is with you and in you.
