If you really believe something, you'll act like it.
I like this method of judging the genuineness (real word?) of someone's faith. We can say all sorts of things about what we believe but the real test comes when we have to put them into action. For example: The Alpha Course cops a lot of flack from very liberal Christians and very fundamentalist Christians. What are we to do with judging this course? Well I'd look at the people who run it and observe their actions. So far they seem to live with an integrity rarely seen in church land so for the moment, I'm going to say that whilst it isn't a perfect course, the fruit coming from the leadership suggests they are genuine followers of Jesus. Well that's what I think anyway.
