God's 2 Chosen Men
This is just a hunch or a thought, but these two men that Luke is talking about in this verse could have been the two men that never tasted death. Enoch and Elijah are the only two men talked about in scripture that were caught away with God and never tasted death. These two, by some scholars, claim they will return during the tribulation, be murder and be risen on the third day and will help save a large population of the Jewish people.
So one reason I make this claim is that the scripture says men, Luke was a doctor and was very methodical. If Luke states it was a man it was a man, if he states it was an angel it was an angel. Two more reasons to base a claim is that the two men were bright (shakina glory from God) and they had the inside information of the scene at hand.
I can't wait to ask Jesus who those men were.
