Works Does Not Equal Salvation

Very quickly, one will read these verses here and conclude that we are to feed the poor, care for the sick, clothe the naked, visit the prisoner... which is the case and the instruction from Jesus on how to live our Christian life, being light into the world. It is clear that both the non-righteous and the righteous were advised in this manor of lifestyle. However, as we see here the righteous will still enter into the kingdom, regardless of the level of works performed. The non-righteous will still be judged no matter what works are performed. It still comes down to the atoning sacrifice of Christ. In the popularity of the social Gospel today one can easily be misled to think that it is all about good works and not about Christ's work on the cross.
