Am I Alone?

"Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses." (Psalm 25:16, 17 NASB)

What is it friend, that's troubling you? I wonder how many of us need to just stop for a few minutes and tell God what's in our hearts. David was a master of such things. "I'm lonely," he told God. "I'm a wreck. I'm stressed out. I need your help, God," he said. It gives me hope, for even amidst such emotions, David was still called a "man after God's own heart." He wasn't perfect, and God doesn't expect us to be either.

So wherever you are when you read this simple message, know this... God listens to your tears in the places no one hears. In the darkest recesses of your heart and mind, God is there. He is present with you in the things you are going through and wants you to pour out your troubles to him. His is the shoulder you can always lean on, the arms that will always surround you, no matter what.

And while I can not say why you're going through your particular trials, I believe with all my heart that God is with you. You, my friend, are not alone...
