Fruit and Repentance
"Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." Repentance requires a change of heart. With this change of heart should come a change in our thoughts, words, and deeds. If our thoughts, words, and deeds are not consistent with the change of heart that we profess, are we truly repentant? The fruits produced in our lives should be consistent with our faith, and our faith is rooted in repentance (turning from reliance on our own ways to trusting in the ways of Christ).
