Your kids will do as you do and not as you say. And since they will do as you do and not as you say, what will their dating relationships be like? Their marriage? Their financial health? Will corporate worship with other Christians be a priority or will it be an option that takes an inferior position to basketball, hockey, golfing...? How will they talk about their coworkers and employers? How will they talk about the church and pastor?

Pastor...your flock will do as you do and not as you say. So...will they be tithing? Will they be sacrificing their time to serve? Will they be building friendships with those outside the church? How will they talk about our gov't?

It's not a matter of choosing to be an example. You already are an example. It's a matter of what kind of example are you? What are you modeling? If those you care for and lead will become like you, who will they become?
