The Plan
Verse 5:
The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Sometimes I used to think that my over-planning or having a list of requirements before doing something meant I HAD NO FAITH.
This teaches me:
1. PLANS are good. Faith does not mean HASTE. My plan must have its foundation on FAITH.
2. I must be diligent with the PLAN. Diligent means: persevering, persistence - I must not give up.
In the end:
verse 30: There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.
My plan must be in line with the Lord's perfect will for my life. If it isn't, I pray he will stop it in its early stages and that he will give me the grace to know it was Him.
verse 31: There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.
No matter how good the plan, VICTORY always rests with the Lord. FAITH is the foundation of the Plan's success.
