God is SO Amazing!
My friend gave his testimony-- drugs, car crashes, drinking, death, anger-- it was all in his testimony. He went in such a downward spiral of depression, PTSD and reckless abandon that at 30 years of age he ended up in jail on April 5, 2009. And he says that at his rock bottom moment he opened up the Bible to read.
What did he read?
He opened up to a strange book titled "Ezekiel" and started on the first chapter first verse. And he says he felt like he was reading about his life: the fifth day of the fourth month (April 5) of the thirtieth year (he was 30 years old) he was surrounded by exiles (prisoners).
Now, I know the Jewish calendar is different, but my God is bigger than that. My friend Jason has turned his life around with Gods help. And he marks that day in the jail cell as the day he started believing in a God that cares enough for us that he will make "coincidences" come our way to grab our attention.
Every so often I remember Jason, his testimony and Ezekiel 1:1... If I am ever getting worried about God coming through for me, or even doubting if He is listening-- I know He is.
