Keep the Fire Burning
Lev 6:13 A continual fire must be kept burning on the altar. It must not be extinguished.
Wow! Talk about a wake up call. In this scripture he is talking about the fire on the altar that they offered sacrifices on. But is it not the same for the altar of our heart? Keeping the fire burning requires constant vigilance. And it requires fuel for the fire. Keep the Fire burning by being on watch for the flames. How you ask? In order for a fire to burn, it has to have fuel. The same for the fire in our hearts. Constant fuel in the form of scripture and prayer - time with God. These are what keeps the fire on the altar of our heart burning. Be vigilant, it must not be extinguished.
