The relationship between God and his Son Jesus Christ
A lot of Christians today say that Jesus always claimed to be God. He actually always claims to be the Son of God but never "God the Son". Jesus actually corrects people in John 10:34 and following. John 20:31 clearly says that we are to believe what? That Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus even says that, "The Father is Greater than I". We simply wouldnt read things like this if Jesus were "God the Son" and co-equal with "God the Father" or "God the Holy Spirit". Even in 1 Thessalonians 4:8 is says "herefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit." A person of the Trinity cannot be the spirit of another person of the Trinity. Neither would a person of the Trinity be called the second or last Adam. Romans 5:19 says "for as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous." Really cool stuff. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to rightly divide the word if truth and not to be ashamed. The fact that most people believe a particular thing is true is actually a different matter than what is actually true and doesnt make it true.
