How do you get fed?
I found it interesting that Jesus and the Apostles were leaving an area with a crowd to arrive across the water to more of a crowd. Jesus realizing how lost they were and began to guide them with his teachings.
Were they really lost or were they spiritually and mentally hungry. I believe we go to one source when we are truly hungry for you can take many paths when you are lost. I don't eat enough when it comes to Jesus and the question really is do any of us? I hope my hunger is never satisfied while I am on this earth so I always strive to be fed by my one true source of food ... Jesus my Lord.
The part of this reading that struck me today was he could have sent them off to find food and come back but he did not for he knew if they left to eat somewhere else they would not return to truly be fed by him. So he told his Apostles ... feed them. This kept them there so he could finish feeding them in another way while showing his Disciples that truly feeding anyone requires God's intervention. We cannot do it on our own.
