It isn't just the hunger it's the bread...
Personally, for me this is what I heard when I read this passage.
It isn't just that I know that my Spirit tells me I'm hungry it's that I don't understand, evaluate and inspect the the source I use to fill it. The people waited for 3 days to hear Jesus speak. They sought Him and He provided. It isn't that we are lacking but that we are in pursuit and it's the pursuit that causes God to move to fill us. Be careful what you grab to fill you when you're weak accepting that it is pure before consuming. Better to go hungry then to have untruths become a part of who you are.
