On the field of contest, whether that is a football field, business arena, or even the battlefield you must take advantage of your opposition.

1. Opposition is proof that your goal is worthy of achieving. Let’s face it. If you were attempting to accomplish something that no one opposed, then it isn’t worthy of pursuit. “Nothing of great value is ever achieved without facing violent opposition.” Albert Einstein. If your enemy fears what you are doing, you should believe it what you are doing.

2. Opposition attacks at the weakest possible moment. The Nemesis of man is ruthless, he attacks the weak. He doesn’t want you to fully develop your abilities before he attacks. God uses the weak things of this earth to confound the wise. Don’t underestimate your proven abilities. Although David was still considered a novice in warfare, he had proven his skill set on the field of contest against a lion, and a bear. Foregoing the unproven armor of the king, David choose instead the weapons he had mastered.

3. Opposition will often come within your own ranks. Unfortunately it’s true, that the goals in your life will be tested first by those closest to you. Most of the time the family members are well meaning but they oppose your dream because of their fear for you being hurt by disappointment and rejection.

4. Opposition will use intimidation tactics as soon as you enter the field of contest. They bark out their threats. They strut their confidence. They wear their achievements on their chests. Yet, you are not there for show. You are in the battle because of conviction.

Whatever challenge you are facing today, you can and will win if you faint not at these strategies of your Nemesis. Here’s your advantage:

A. You have the Word of God. As long as you are walking in the Word of God, you have the assurance that the Word performs.

B. You have Angels on assignment to go before you. They are ministering spirits sent ahead to prepare a way for you.

C. You have the weapon of Praise. That’s right, Praise is a weapon. It can crush the impenetrable walls of opposition.

D. You have faith. Faith is a weapon of warfare. It’s not some little ditty that you learned in Sunday School – no, it’s a real force that moves you.

E. You have a generous supply of wisdom. Wisdom in a better strategy than scheming. The devices of the your enemy cannot withstand the wisdom of God.
