Savings Accounts?
I understand how we are to not hold things for ourselves and let space for God to work and bless us. But this verse talks about saving for one's self. Does this mean it is wrong for a Christian to save up money at all? I am not sure about that, because God also wants us to be wise with our money. But I think we need to be willing to let go of that money if God calls us to.
One way to say it is, it is not wrong to save, but it is wrong to horde.
The man in the parable was only thinking of himself and not the others around him who might have been in need of food but he was not open to let any go.
