The more I meditate on these verses, the more I am I'm filled with tension. The tension between how far I've come and how far I still have to go. Pastor Steven Furtick posted this quote online yesterday:

"The discrepancy between who you are & who you want to be is God's favorite workspace. Let Him do His thing in u today." And, right in verse 13--there it is. God is at work in me.

My prayer:

-- Lord, do your thing in me today.
-- In the face of hurt, disappointment and exhaustion--do your thing in me today.
-- In uncertain circumstances and unjust judgment--do your thing in me today.
-- In the void and in the abundance--do your thing in me today.
-- In my weak and small mindedness--do your thing in me today.

Let me be a light in a dark world, and through you, demonstrate how to make love last.
