fully devoted desicion making
Kind Solomon allowed his heart to be influenced by who his wives served; other God’s. It was a mistake he made early on as he loved many foreign women (11:1). No matter how wise we or how much God given knowledge we have, allowing our hearts to go after people or objects that are against God’s desire for us will end up leading us away from him ‘in time’. God’s desire is that we become ‘fully devoted’ to Him throughout the course of our lives. Part of being fully devoted to God means making decisions that affect us today as well as tomorrow. What a great lesson this is. I need to remember that some decisions I make can affect my today and my relationship with God in the future and forfeit part of what God originally indented for me.
