Community
God instructs us to live in community — the dictionary says community is "a unified body of individuals". We are united in Jesus Christ. The body of Christ supports and encourages us - and we in turn, support and encourage others - especially during our most difficult times. God builds our faith in community as we journey together and bear one another burdens.
Recently, I have had some very challenging times - loss of spouse, loss of my job and loss of my youngest who moved across the country to attend school.
I go from abandonment to joy and peace in 60 seconds or less.
Because God loves me - before all this happened - God placed me in community of a wonderful body believers in a beautiful new place .
God knew who, what and where I needed prior to difficult times.
On the horizon, God has a great plan and I trust Him to unfold it.
Dear Friend, whatever you are experiencing yesterday, today or tomorrow, God knows and has put in place the support of community for you. May we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and open to the body of Christ - through fellowship and prayer with one another — we gain great peace and joy through the community of believers in Jesus Christ.
