Living by fixing our Morals

This is so prevalent in today's christianity. People who are in fact Christians and believe in the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ actually try to live out their life by fixing their morals, don't misunderstand me. Morals are very important and by applying the teaching of Jesus to our life we are in fact fixing our morals, but there is this idea that some believers follow that is that Christians are better than everyone else and that everyone else chooses not to believe in Christ because they are not cut out to be holy.

This is a vicious lie.

In Galatians 3:3 Paul warns new Christians of all time of the dangers of this. It is so crucial that we heed his warning.

"The Good News of Jesus is that God has released us from the endless striving to measure up to God's standards, let alone the expectations of other human beings."

"When the primary way we measure our faith is based on our lifestyle, it is easy to assume that the missing ingredient for outsiders is virtuous, moral living. Again, moral issues are not inherently wrong priorities. God deeply cares about our actions, as should we. Yet don't our priorities seem backward?"

"Trying to be good by their own efforts will fail." -The Apostle Paul
