Gain the world and lose our soul
Keeping Christ and His purpose for our lives has to be at the forefront of our minds everyday. This world makes it too easy to fall into the trap of wanting things for ourselves. Having things is not a sin, but when those things replace God in our hearts, we are gaining the world and will lose our souls. Christ knows our motives and thoughts, so we need to have Christ in our hearts. (Proverbs 4:23-"Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.")
