Back Talk
So every parent knows this feeling. You tell your child to do something cause you have some insight into what is about to happen. However, your child chooses to enlighten you of their confusion as if it needs to be addressed before they will obey. The response is usually a reply to obey without the knowledge.
It is comforting to see that we are not alone as a parent. God not only knows what it is like to raise children, he has experience.
